About Liyou

Liyou is a cultural expert who specializes in helping Chinese tech companies to navigate the complexities of cultural differences in a multicultural work environment.

Living, studying, and working in Beijing, Paris, Dubai, Basel (Switzerland), and San Francisco equipped Liyou with both the personal experience as well as strategy and frameworks, to help teams and organizations to understand each other better, relate more authentically, and achieve more with fewer cultural frictions.

Outside of cultural training and coaching, Liyou also works as a Data Scientist for Uber at the heart of Silicon Valley. Not only Liyou has the soft skills of understanding people and culture, but she also wears multiple technical hats of a coder, a statistician, and a product manager, first-hand experiencing the complexities of communicating, collaborating, negotiating, and executing across different geographies, cultures, and functions.

Prior to her work at Uber, Liyou was part of the global future leader rotational program at Hoffmann-La Roche, selected as one of the two participants around the world, as well as the Dubai Business Associates program by the Dubai government. She received her education in Finance from Sciences Po Paris and the Renmin University of China in Beijing.
